Bologna Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Travelling Exhibition
Bologna's Piazza Lucio Dalla is hosting the travelling yellow tent of the Volunteer Ministers of Scientology, remaining in Piazza Lucio Dalla until 8 September.
Around 100 people attended the opening, including people who had previously worked alongside the volunteers during emergencies.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who spoke about the relationship established with the volunteers after severe flooding in 2024. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also spoke emotionally about the assistance received when his restaurant was affected by mud and water.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, spoke about volunteer support given to communities affected by the 2012 earthquake.
Founded by L. Ron Hubbard in 1976, the programme provides practical methods for addressing everyday difficulties as well as assistance during emergencies.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can see displays about humanitarian work and practical assistance while learning about communication, relationships, study, work and family life.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the news eu gipfel EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as an expression of European values of solidarity, human dignity and community responsibility.
The Bologna exhibition highlights a programme that operates both in times of disaster and in everyday community life.
